Did you know that you can work on stuff while you sleep?
I don’t mean the frustrating work dreams where you just keep churning through whatever you’ve got going on during the day.
I mean working through things, opening up creativity and solving problems while you sleep.
I’m not really sure when or how it happened, but one day I realized I was waking up with insights and answers – and they were good, really good.
I would wake up and have a presentation virtually written in my head, or identify a test case scenario, or an approach to a delicate topic for a meeting. I got lots of work done in my sleep.
When I shifted to coaching and writing, my night time assistant came with me. Now I wake up with an insight to share with a client, or I’m clear on the salient points in a chapter, or I’ve crafted one of these blogs.
One of the “problems” I’ve really wanted to solve is how to work through issues and embed new beliefs faster, so that I can gift it to my clients.
So I started playing around with it. I give my brain the assignment to work on it while I sleep. Roughly translated, that means that I think about it a little before drifting off and tell myself I’ll have more clarity – or progress – when I wake up.
I pick the color I want to work with and identify the thought I want to think, or idea to think about. I do some color breathing and thinking. Most times, I drift off nicely… and wake up rested.
Somewhere in the first part of the morning, I realize that my brain has delivered some really good stuff – just what I need.
Fun fact – when I do this, I rarely wake up in the middle of the night worrying about the assignment or anything else. Sometimes my brain does wake me up because she’s so excited about what she discovered – but I like that.
I think that this is a fantastic way to engage the power of the subconscious mind.
Give it a try. What have you got to lose? Not sleep! Let me know how it goes.
In the meantime, remember these things: You are loved. We are all loved. Let’s all be kind. And in all things – progress, not perfection!
Love and light,
Maggie

Yes, I am still doing 1 on 1 coaching, and I have a couple of open spots right now. I’ve also created a gift set – an online program with Individual coaching to sessions as a coaching spa package.
