What is Color Thinking?

Color Thinking is a new modality that’s incredibly effective, easy and enjoyable for making the changes you want to make. It combines the language of color with the most current techniques in thought work from neuroscience, personal development and coaching specialties. It works by leveraging your brain’s huge capacity for visual processing to embed and support your new choices at the conscious and subconscious level.

Color is a Language

Every color has universal, cultural, personal, symbolic, and spiritual meanings. You build your own color vocabulary.

It's a brand new modality...

...so it doesn’t come with a lot of baggage. You can’t say, “I tried that before and it didn’t work.”

Color Thinking is the modality, The Rainbow Onion is the Process.

So what is the Rainbow Onion?

The Rainbow Onion is the process for applying Color Thinking to a layer that you want to work on. A layer can be working through a fear or anxiety, making a small behavioral change, choosing a big transformation, clearing up a past issue, changing a limiting belief, getting through an emotional obstacle on your way to a positive outcome…or pretty much anything you would like to work on, because our personal growth happens in layers.

The rainbow part is pretty obvious because it includes all of the colors in the spectrum.

The onion part, well – we all have layers. As soon as we work through one, we discover that there’s another one right below. And when it’s freshly peeled, it can be intense. Sometimes there are tears. Almost everything savory can be improved with an onion!

Maggie Huffman is the founder of The Rainbow Onion and Color Thinking. You can find out more about Maggie here.
